Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We are a little delayed in posting this winter update, but we wanted to share some highlights from the not-so-cold winter months. Additional progress has been made since these photos were taken, and we will post another update soon!
Winter Lawncrest Library Construction Progress Highlights Include (See Photo Gallery):
Interior Demolition - Our construction team has completed selective demolition of interior partitions and ceilings and have started framing.
Framing of New Areas - The new vestibule, information counter, and teen area are taking shape! New partitions are being installed along with the in-wall electrical wiring. Soon, the new meeting rooms and kitchenette in the existing large meeting room will take shape.
New ADA Bathroom Layout - Sanitary lines for the new ADA bathroom have been installed, waiting for inspection before closing up and adding partitions.
As previously shared, the project remains on track for completion in late spring 2024. We will share more on reopening plans along with the Free Library of Philadelphia (FLP) as we get closer to that time. Keeping the community informed of our progress is a top priority, and we encourage you to follow up if you have questions or concerns about the project.
