Design Phase Coming To An End

Thank you to everyone joined us to provide your critical input about design ideas for enhancing the library's interior and landscape. You have given us valuable insight into what features best reflect the neighborhood's residents, the area's history, and the need for more safe green spaces. We also heard the desire and importance of honoring the spirit of Blanche A. Nixon, a beloved neighborhood anti-violence activist and leader.

Here are a few photos from our July 13 meeting, held outdoors on the library's front lawn area:

Our final community event for this phase of the project will be held on Wednesday, October 12. We are especially interested in reconnecting with those of you who have previously attended a community meeting, so you can see how your input has been incorporated into the plans and give us your feedback. Compensation will be provided, so your RSVP is required. Reference the flyer below for complete details.

Here's to the start of the school year, a fall season full of learning and literacy, and finalizing plans for the beautiful refresh of the Blanche A. Nixon/Cobbs Creek Library!
